The Combined Websense Security Engineer Course is a Web Security v7 class followed by a Web Security Gateway v7 class rather than two separate three-day courses. This combined five-day course is suitable for engineers who are new to Websense or those who want to brush up on their skills.
Websense Web Security v7 Certification – 2.5 Days
Certification Naming:
WWSE – Websense Web Security Engineer (channel partner certification) and WWSP – Websense Web Security Professional (end-user certification)

1. Introduction
2. Integrations and the Websense Ecosystem
3. Deployment and Installation
4. Reporting
5. Troubleshooting Part 1: Installation Debugging
6. Delegated Administration
7. WWF/WWS Interface Introduction
8. Remote Filtering
9. Initial Configuration 10. Troubleshooting Part 2: Debugging Tools
11. User Identification and Authentication
12. Upgrading from Previous Versions of Websense Enterprise or Websense Web Security Suite
Certification Path:
Channel Partners must take the exam via the Websense University once they have attended the training class with an approved Websense Authorised Training Partner (WATP).
End-users can join an approved training class with a WATP and then certify at a Pearson Vue testing centre. This is an additional cost and vouchers can be purchased via the WATP.
Websense Web Security Gateway v7 - 2.5 Days
Certification Naming:
WSGE - Websense Security Gateway Engineer.
Course prerequisites:
Engineers must have passed the WWSE – Websense Web Security Engineer exam before attending this class.
