Quarri Protect On Q Delivers Encryption and Application Security, Protects Sensitive Data

Quarri™ Technologies, a security software company that empowers organizations to keep their sensitive data secure, today announced Move With Us, a UK-based real estate agency network, selected Quarri Protect On Q (POQ) to achieve compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Move With Us is one of the UK’s leading residential property experts that provides a broad range of services to help consumers buy, sell and value their homes. As part of this service, Move With Us requires customer credit card information, which is entered and processed through a web-based application. PCI DSS requirements, unsecure desktops and malware threats, including keyloggers and cache raiders, presented a significant need for a strong data security solution, one that keeps consumers’ information secure while enabling Move With Us to achieve PCI DSS compliance.

When utilizing a web-based processing or payment application, any activity completed in the web browser leaves the data at risk since all data is unencrypted when rendered in the browser at the endpoint and in use. In addition to zero-hour anti-malware defenses, POQ encrypts and deletes data written to the web browser cache during web application sessions. POQ also prevents the cut, copy, print and screen capture features, which replicate data in the system-wide clipboard, effectively closing security gaps to meet PCI DSS requirements.
